Fun & Fabulous Fall Wedding Ideas

Are you engaged? Congratulations! Did you set the date for the big day in the fall? Wonderful!  You are part of the special group of brides that love the crisp smell of cider, luscious colors of fall, and delightfully cool weather.

As per theknot.com, did you know…?

  • 14% of weddings take place in September, the most popular month for weddings.
  • 12% of weddings take place in October, the third most popular month.

To all of our fall brides, we at American Party Rentals are here to help and offer some fun and creative wedding ideas.

Colors: Warm colors and heavy fabrics traditionally are popular selections for brides during this season, but why not add a pop of color to your tables? You could also keep the table linen neutral and have a fun colored napkin instead. Below is a list of the top wedding colors for this fall. We have all these colors available in our inventory. When you visit our showroom, we even have a table for you to play and try different linens, flatware, glassware, etc.

Burgundy, Burnt Orange, Paprika/Terra Cotta, Orange, Claret/Plum, Magenta, Fern, Navy, Teal, Antique Gold, Gold, Ivory

Warm & Toasty: If any part of your wedding is outdoors, make sure your guests aren’t cold! If the venue does not have heating available, we have heaters available for rent. Check out our new ember patio heaters. Also, why not incorporate a fun wedding favor such as pashminas to give your guests? They will thank you later!

Food & Drink: The first food that comes to mind when it comes to fall is pumpkin. Why not give your guests some warm, delicious pumpkin or butternut squash soup to start? If soup is not what you have in mind, maybe opt for a crisp salad with pumpkin seeds, figs, and walnuts. To drink, have your guests sip on apple cider as your signature drink. For your main course instead of the traditional beef or chicken, serve your guests hen or turkey as a festive and unique entrée choice. Last but not least, we can’t forget to talk about dessert! Pies and beignets are some sweet and savory suggestions that your guests would love. If you have someone in your family that is a fabulous baker or have a special family recipe, why not ask them to make some tasty desserts for your guests? This is a fun way to personalize and incorporate family tradition into your wedding menu.

Flowers:  Flowers are one of the most important details of a wedding. Below are a few suggestions of beautiful fall-colored flowers that are perfect for the season. Make sure that the flower bouquets do not match too closely to the color of the bridesmaids’ dresses so you can notice them more in your photographs. You can wrap the stems in burlap or lace to finish the rustic, autumn look.

Below are a few photos of fall inspired table setups in our showroom.

Whichever season, relax, and don’t stress about the little details. When the day actually arrives, it will go by like a blink of the eye. It’s important to cherish those moments with family, friends, and of course, your new husband or wife! Best of luck in all your wedding planning!
