Earlier this month, several members of the APR team spent four days at the annual American Rental Association convention in New Orleans. In addition to taking in the sights and sounds of the “Big Easy”, and eating entirely too much rich and decadent food, we attended some wonderful educational seminars. We spent two full days on the show floor checking out, and in some cases, ordering new and interesting equipment to add to our rental inventory this spring.
New linens will be arriving by late March, including another addition to our popular line of Crush linens, platinum. This is a dark silver/pewter iridescent shimmery fabric which will be available in 120” rounds, and banquet table sizes. We have also added a solid pewter in rounds and banquets at the request of some of our customers. The color of the season seems to be tangerine, so we purchased some table runners and napkins in our Nova Silk fabric in that color. Tangerine will also be available for a cake table or other accent. We also expanded our Nova Silk offerings in eggplant and soft sage.
We were excited to learn that our hammered flatware pattern has expanded to include an oval soup/dessert spoon, demitasse spoon, iced tea spoon, and cocktail fork, so we will now be carrying the entire line of that pattern, including a wide array of hammered serving pieces. Our most exciting find was a beautiful new stemware pattern with a gold band at the top. It will be available in three sizes/shapes: wine, flute, and water goblet .
Several vendors were showing variations of “farm tables.” Although we would like to add them to our table offerings, we did not find one that we really liked, so we may have to have them made. Let us know if this is something you are looking for. Customer requests drive our purchase decisions, so if there’s something in particular you can’t find, please tell us!
