Attending a Bridal Fair

If you are planning to attend a bridal fair in your local area, here are a few key tips to make your day a successful one:

  •   Know what you’re looking for. Bridal fairs can be overwhelming! There are many inspiring ideas thrown at you in only a few hours, and if you don’t know what you’re looking for, you can get lost in the day dreams. Make a list of what you still need for your big day. Maybe it’s a photographer with a unique style, an event planner you can click with, or a rental company that carries a particular item—either way, have your questions ready to ask and you shall receive answers!
  •  Bring a pen! Bridal shows are informative and inspirational. You may come across something that you’ve never seen before, like the name of a designer or creative floral arrangement. Be sure to take notes and create reminders because you’ll never know what you will stumble upon that you may want to consider for your own wedding!
  •  Come with an appetite. Why go to a tasting when you can try free samples at a bridal fair? Throughout the day, various vendors offer cake samples, cupcakes, wine, hor d’oeuvres and entrée samples, what more could a girl ask for? It’s an affordable way for you to taste their food and be exposed to the latest catering trends.
  •  Invite the girls…and your man! There is strength in numbers. Instead of feeling overwhelmed with the amount of vendors in attendance, ask the girls to be a part of the planning process. Let your bridesmaids help you find the best deals and wedding professionals of the day. As for you and your fiancé, enjoy a day of food, music, and exciting chances to win free prizes!

Don’t forget the most important tip of attending a bridal show: have fun! You may be on a mission to find the best vendor or just attending to brainstorm ideas, but no matter what, be sure to break away from the stress of planning and have a great time!
